Doing Abs Exercises Doesn’t Have To Be A Chore
There are a huge variety of abs exercises that you can do to get “washboard abs”. From the stomach exercises you do at home, to the multitude of home exercise devises, to those done in the gym with professional equipment right on to those where you follow a video. There’s really something for everyone.
If you are looking to start an abdominal workout, the first thing to consider after its safety and efficiency is whether or not you will enjoy doing it. If it’s not enjoyable, chances are you won’t stick with it. And if you don’t stick with it, there’s no doubt that it won’t work.
For many who want to save time and money, the exercises done at home on floor are the best choice. They know that if they have to spend money or leave the house in order to get in their stomach exercises, they just won’t get done. Fortunately for them, the traditional crunches (reverse crunches and double crunches), and various types of sit-ups (V-ups and jackknife sit-ups) as well as a few other exercises are great for your abs, and should be all you need.
For some, they know they will never get around to, or force themselves to do the traditional at home exercises. They find a good ab machine, purchase it, and want to get their money’s worth, so they do the exercises. Also, they may find a machine that is fun to use, giving added motivation.
Other people like to be around other people who are exercising. They like the feel of heavy duty equipment and the knowledge that there are others working hard just like them. These people buy a gym membership and make use of the equipment there.
Some people just know themselves well enough to realize that they hate exercise for exercise’s sake. The thought of doing repetitions of a strenuous activity is so abhorrent to them that they probably won’t even try it. These are the kind of people who should join a dance group. There are specific dances and exercise moves that target the stomach and are fun to do, too!
Whichever is your exercise method of choice, USE IT!! Remember that it should be fun, but also that the goal is not just to have fun, but to get in some abs training. For added motivation, find a friend to do your stomach exercises or abdominal workout with. You can keep each other up to snuff and encourage each other and share progress.
Also, keep in mind that you will see and feel results much faster if you are eating a healthy diet. That way your muscles can show through, and it will be much easier for you to do your exercises, the less fat you have weighing you down!
